Martinez Road is a major thoroughfare in Moriarty, connecting an industrial area to NM 41, with houses and residential neighborhoods in between. The large amount of truck traffic on Martinez Road had caused severe damage to the roadway, and there was no subsurface drainage in place to handle heavy rainfall. The design for this reconstruction project included thicker typical sections, designed to accommodate the large amount of truck traffic. We also designed new storm drains and ADA-compliant sidewalks.
