The Valencia Regional Emergency Communication Center (VRECC), an 11,490 square-foot facility, is the 911 dispatch center for Valencia County and its Municipalities. The public entrance provides a reception area that leads to a secure vestibule and from there into a lobby. The structure houses several rooms with the largest being the 5,000-plus square foot communications center. Additional rooms include a Training Room, Conference Room, Office, Break Room, and Fitness Room. All windows and doors face walled landscaped courtyards that cannot be accessed or viewed by the public. With eight monitors on each dispatch console, clerestory windows were designed to provide daylight into the dispatch center without glare.
