The Pueblo requested our expertise in evaluating a microfiltration based arsenic treatment system that had been recommended by another consulting firm and compare that treatment technology to an oxidation-assisted coagulation/filtration system. Molzen Corbin concluded that the latter system had a lower capital and O&M cost, and the Pueblo agreed by issuing a contract for us to proceed with design. Operational by February 2010, one treatment facility was constructed that treats water from each of the Pueblo’s two wells.
