The New Mexico State University Football Operations Center is an 18,000-square-foot, high-performance addition to the Aggie Memorial Stadium complex that integrates athletics, academics, and sustainability within a constrained infill site. Designed with a split-level configuration to provide both field and concourse access, the facility required innovative structural solutions, including engineered foundations and retaining walls to align the locker room with field elevation while resisting lateral earth pressures. The state-of-the-art locker room features 120 individually vented lockers, with mechanical and electrical systems precisely coordinated through 3D modeling to optimize efficiency within the compact footprint. The project incorporates high-efficiency systems, a 33 kW rooftop solar array, low-VOC materials, sustainable site development, and integrated stormwater management. The result is a technically sophisticated, environmentally responsible facility that advances student-athlete well-being and sets a new benchmark for collegiate athletic design in the Southwest.
