Size

5-Million Gallon

Cost

$2,245,400

This project included a functional design evaluation of the most cost-effective storage tank size for NMSU. Ultimately, a 5-million-gallon storage tank was selected. Given the size of the tank, the mixing system enables the University to provide disinfected water through the storage tank in a mixed and fresh state without any stagnant zones. The tank design also considered visual aesthetics. The east side of the tank faces the home of the University President and needed to be shielded to the maximum extent. The west side of the tank faces I-10, the football stadium, and the Pan American Center, which makes it an ideal location for the placement of a logo and website address.
