The design of the Los Lunas Intermodal Transportation Center recalls local history while serving the technological needs of a growing community in the 21st century. The resulting building balances aesthetics and function, with a California mission exterior that pays tribute to the golden age of railroad travel in the Southwest. The interior houses administrative offices for the Village’s Public Transportation and Community Services Departments, the Emergency Operations Center, the community’s WIFI transmission center, and a state-of-the-art meeting and training auditorium. This award winning facility has served to unite the community.
