The I-25/Missouri Bridge Project consisted of adding a lane to I-25 in both directions from University Avenue (Exit 1) to Lohman Avenue (Exit 3) and improvements to City of Las Cruces streets. This $15.6 million project improved I-25 with three 12-foot driving lanes and 10-foot shoulders in each direction, a new bridge with a 70-year design life, and improved vertical geometry to correct sight distance problems. The City street improvements include additional turning lanes, new signals, ADA-compliant sidewalks, and improved safety through access control. The NMDOT had a very strict funding deadline for improvements to the I-25/Missouri Bridge and placed its confidence in Molzen Corbin to deliver the entire project (from study to design) in less than 13 months.
