This new facility is approximately 13,000 square-feet and is occupied continuously 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The facility, which held its ribbon cutting ceremony in January of 2019, includes apparatus bays for firefighting and emergency-response vehicles, apparatus bay support areas where the vehicles and firefighting equipment will be cleaned and stored, administrative and training areas, and residential areas (including dorms, dayroom/kitchen, fitness room, outdoor activity area, and several bathrooms). The layout ensures that internal response time (time to reach apparatus and be prepared to depart) is minimized and function is maximized in a comfortable and healthy environment.
