Molzen Corbin Attends 2019 Montezuma Ball

Executive Vice President, Jerry Paz, along with fellow Molzen Corbin engineers were honored to attend the 2019 Montezuma Ball. This year’s proceedings went toward supporting Dual Language Education of New Mexico, a local New Mexican non-profit organization working to promote multilingual education throughout the state. Molzen Corbin is pleased to continue its support for dual language education in New Mexico.
The Montezuma Ball is over 100 years old, with the first event held in 1902 as part of the New Mexico Territorial Fair, otherwise known as the New Mexico State Fair. This tradition continued until the last historic ball was held at the Alvarado Hotel in Albuquerque in 1968. In 2000, Heritage Hotels and Resorts restored this New Mexico tradition as part of the inauguration of its new Alvarado Ballroom at Hotel Albuquerque. In the 19 years since, Montezuma Ball has raised millions of dollars for deserving nonprofits across New Mexico and continues to support organizations working to preserve and celebrate New Mexican culture and traditions.
