February 15, 2007: MOLZEN-CORBIN & ASSOCIATES ANNOUNCES NEW VICE PRESIDENT ALBUQUERQUE -- Molzen-Corbin & Associates, a nationally ranked multidiscipline engineering and architectural firm, announces the appointment of John T. Montoya, PE, PS, to the position of Vice-President - Surveying. A native of Espaņola, NM, Mr. Montoya joined the Molzen-Corbin & Associates' Las Cruces office in 1985 upon obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from New Mexico State University. Over the past 21 years, he has served as project manager, lead design engineer/technician and construction observer on millions of dollars worth of public works infrastructure, transportation and airport projects across southern New Mexico. For example in the Las Cruces area Mr. Montoya was responsible for the I-25 /Doņa Ana Interchange project; the Hadley Avenue Storm Drain and Roadway Improvements project; Town of Mesilla Water Transmission System; and Memorial Medical Center's Healthplex site design, to name a few.
Currently, he is involved with the I-10 Las Cruces to Texas State Line Improvements Study for the New Mexico Department of Transportation; the North Valley Drive Widening and Reconstruction project for the City of Las Cruces; and the Spaceport America infrastructure design for the State of NM, to name a few. Mr. Montoya also has considerable experience in the field of surveying and is a registered professional surveyor. Mr. Montoya is an active member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and New Mexico Professional Surveyors (ACSM/NMPS), and serves on the Industrial Advisory Committee for the Civil Engineering Technology Department at NMSU. He resides with his wife Noema, and children Johnelle and Thomas, in Las Cruces.
