Public Safety

In an innovative use of existing facilities, Los Lunas’ former Village Hall was extensively renovated to meet current codes. The new fire station functions as the central dispatch center for the Village and provides training facilities for firefighters.

This $2.3-million project was designed on an accelerated timeframe to capture AIP funding. Funding was secured in 2008 and construction was completed in the Fall of 2009. The primary objective of an aircraft rescue and firefighting (RFF) service is to save lives by minimizing the effects of an aircraft accident or incident.

Molzen Corbin designed this new police and emergency medical station for the Village of Tularosa. An excellent example of a multi-user building with interspacial requirements for both cross-use and dedicated use, complex power requirements were integrated into the design.
