Landside Improvements

This $2.3-million project was designed on an accelerated timeframe to capture AIP funding. Funding was secured in 2008 and construction was completed in the Fall of 2009. The primary objective of an aircraft rescue and firefighting (RFF) service is to save lives by minimizing the effects of an aircraft accident or incident.

ADA and post 9/11-imposed security requirements were instrumental in triggering the renovation of the Santa Fe Municipal Airport Terminal. The overriding project challenge was integrating modern technology into the unique architectural design context of the original building.

Molzen Corbin designed the extension of public water and sanitary sewer service to DEII with installation of water transmission lines, distribution lines, sanitary sewer force mains, two lift stations and collector lines, and a multi-purpose trail. The trail also serves as a maintenance access road.

Since the early 1980's, Molzen Corbin’s airport engineers have addressed all phases of airport improvements at Angel Fire Airport, which is perhaps located in the harshest environment in the State.

This was an emergency project to realign Paseo del Volcan at the entrance to Double Eagle II Airport. At the direction of the Mayor’s office, Molzen Corbin redesigned the intersection on a fast track schedule, which from notice to proceed on the design to construction completion took approximately four months.
